Jitendra Singh, 21, who resides in Sector 22, will be leading a five men team in the 14th International Soft Tennis championship to be held between October 27 and November 2 in Japan this year.

"We have no words to express our feeling. We wish my son bring back all the pride for the nation," said Jitendra's father Babu Lal, who is a Haryana government employee.

Currently ranked No 1 in India, Jitendra belongs to a middle class family.

Yuvraj Singh Foundation (YSF), owned by cricketer Yuvraj Singh, will bear all his expenses including air-ticket, boarding and lodging.

"I heartily thank to YSF for its generosity. It is a great help for me. I will give my best in the tournament," said Jitendra.
