City doc, wife die in mishap

AN INDORE-BASED doctor and his wife died in a car accident near Jaora on the Indore-Ratlam highway this morning when their vehicle collided with a truck at a bridge and fell into a ditch. Two other persons inside the car were seriously injured.

AN INDORE-BASED doctor and his wife died in a car accident near Jaora on the Indore-Ratlam highway this morning when their vehicle collided with a truck at a bridge and fell into a ditch. Two other persons inside the car were seriously injured.

According to information, Dr Brajendra Banthia (60), his wife (Shakuntala) and younger brother Prafful (35) were returning from Ajmer to Indore, when their car collided with a truck (MP-09-9346) at Bhaisana Jhalwa Phata.

As a result of the collision, the car door was ripped open and Shakuntala fell down on the road, while Dr Banthia and driver Manish Chauhan (22) resident of 113, Nayapura fell from the bridge along with the car. Dr Banthia died on the spot, while Manish was severely injured,
