City finally cools down again

Temperatures, which had shot up over the past fortnight to four degrees above the average figure, have fallen to the normal level.
Until Monday, the maximum daily temperature was hitting 34 degrees, while the minimum hovered around 20 degrees.
“The minimum temperature on Wednesday was 16 degrees, which is normal for this time of year,” said K. Sathidevi, regional director, Indian Metrological Department. “The changed wind pattern will cool the city for some time at least.”
The coldest day of the season was on December 30 when the minimum temperature fell to 12.8 degrees.
In Maharashtra, Nashik has had the coolest winter so far, with the minimum temperature dropping to 4 degrees.
