City gears up for Christmas revelry

With Christmas round the corner, hotels, malls, shopping complexes are gearing up to celebrate the festival. Many private groups and hotels in the city have chalked out plans for Christmas.

Exciting offers and fanfare is in the offing. The Joint Christian Forum, Gurgaon, will take out a procession on December 18.

The procession will start from St Michael’s School, Shivpuri. Stewardship of Rev. Fr. Anthony Francis and Rev Sunil Ghazan will lead the procession, which will proceed towards the Church of Epiphany.

The mid-night services, prayer and celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ will begin from December 24.

Nearly 1,200 people are expected to participate in the event. Four tabloids have been specially prepared depiciting the birth of Jesus.

Galaxy hotel has also planned a sumptuous barbeque for the festival. “There will be a barbeque on the hotel’s terrace and wine will be served. Santa Claus will distribute chocolates to guests. Also, there will be a live band performance at Howzatt on Christmas eve with special Xmas beer on December 24,” said Vivek Sharma, general manager of the hotel.

Fortune Select Excalibur will also organise a Christmas and New Year bash on its premises.

Radisson Blu Suites at Sushant Lok, Phase-I , also has elaborate plans for the occasion. Relish a Christmas eve dinner on December 24, Christmas brunch and then dinner on December 25.

The buffet will include roasted turkey, Christmas pudding, mince pie, yule log and a complimentary glass of wine.
