City lad Shreyas to lead MP U-15 cricket team

SHREYAS SINGH of Bhopal will lead the Madhya Pradesh under-15 cricket team in the Poly Umrigar Trophy tournament. Madhya Pradesh will play against Uttar Pradesh in Kanpur from November 1 to 3, Rajasthan in Indore from November 8 to 10 and Vidarbha at Nagpur from November 15 to 17.

The other players are Gaurav Pable, Parth Sahani, Gaurav Patel, Saransh Jain, Vikrant Singh Veerma, Shivam Choubey, Ankit Kushwah, Zaid Mohd Khan, Avinash Dhaliwal, Aditya Shrivastava, Akshay Gautam, Vijendra Singh, Usman Ali and Nitin Sharma. Tariq Mohammed Khan is the team coach and Aushotosh Naik will be the manager. 

Jitendra, Smita to lead RGPV teams
THE BADMINTON team of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) will participate in the All India West Zone Badminton Tournament to be organised in Mumbai from October 26.
According to RGPV press release, Jitendra Mehra and Smita Simon were selected to lead the boys’ and girls’ teams respectively. RGPV V-C Prof PB Sharma and others wished the two teams success in the tournament.

Police water sports winners meet CM 
WINNERS OF the sixth All-India Police Water Sports met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday. Chouhan congratulated constable Pawan Singh posted in the CM’s security and Satyendra Singh of the 7th battalion. They have won the silver medal in the doubles’ event in the rowing competition held at Hyderabad from October 16 to 19.

Aishwarya returns from China tour
AISHWARYA AGRAWAL returned to Indore after a 10-day tour to China as part of the youth welfare and sports programme there. She gained information about the sport and physical fitness there. She also visited the Jiatang University.
Before this tour, she also attended a two-day youth workshop in New Delhi where the Union Sports Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar met her.
