To spread awareness about environment conservation, Lotus Valley International School, Gurgaon, has adopted three triangular parks in the city. While one on the Golf Course Extension Road, the other two are on the Gold Souk Road.

As part of the drive, school students planted Ficus, Ashokas and Date Plams in these parks. An NGO Uthaan also helped students during the drive. School principal Anita Malhotra said this would motivate students to protect the environment.

“Such steps will motivate people to promote afforestation and help maintain ecological balance,” said Molly, a Class 8 student.

Anandi Ray, a student of Class 4, said, “Planting trees will help reduce pollution in the city.”

“I will definitely plant more trees in future,” said Saniya Kapoor, a student of Class 4.
