There seems to be no respite from broken roads, blocked sewerage lines and water shortage for residents of South City Part-1 for the last five years, with the civic body passing the buck to the developer.

Residents say that they have been writing to the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) to get the roads repaired.

But the MCG always puts the ball in the court of the developer, Unitech.

“We have written to both the authorities. Since five years, we have been running around without any hope,” said Praveen Sharma, one of the residents.

The locality is one of the posh areas of Gurgaon.

The lane of M-block has a blocked sewerage line. The road is full of potholes but nothing has been done despite repeated reminders.

Many residents also want to sell their houses but they are unable to get a buyer.

“We have bought this property with our hard-earned money and now selling it is a problem for us,” M-block resident Subodh Sharma said.

Unitech officials refused to comment on the issue.
