CM sets out on 3-nation tour in Dec

CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Commerce Minister Babulal Gaur and senior officers will set out on a week-long three-nation tour from December 9 to woo industrialists. This will be Chouhan?s first foreign trip after becoming the Chief Minister.

CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Commerce Minister Babulal Gaur and senior officers will set out on a week-long three-nation tour from December 9 to woo industrialists. This will be Chouhan’s first foreign trip after becoming the Chief Minister.

Sources in Mantralaya told the Hindustan Times that the Chief Minister will visit Australia, Singapore and Malasiya. The Chief Minister is likely to meet top industrialists and the Non Resident Indians (NRI) settled in the three countries and request them to invest in the State.

The CM will meet investors, who are interested in agriculture and food processing industries and establishing manufacturing facility. Besides, he will meet players in auto industries and potential investors in development of infrastructure.

In the proposed visit, Chief Minister will be accompanied by C&I Principal Secretary O P Rawat; Secretary to Chief Minister, Iqbal Singh Bains; Madhya Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (MPSIDC) Managing Director Praveen Garg and Agriculture Secretary Pravesh Sharma.

During the tour, the Chief Minister and senior bureaucrats will meet potential investors and apprise them of the incentives being offered by the State Government under its New Industrial Policy. A delegation of industrialists will also go with the Chief Minister.
