Cold continues to grip national capital

india Updated: Jan 23, 2007 12:26 IST

Cold northerly winds continued to grip the capital with minimum temperature dipping to 5.2 degree Celsius — three degrees below normal — on Tuesday against 6.3 degrees Celsius reported on Monday.

However, the air traffic was normal at airport with all the flights operating on scheduled time.

The weatherman said due to heavy snowfall in Northern states, the mercury will further dip for at least another two days with minimum temperature hovering at around 4.5 degree Celsius.

He said tomorrow the morning would be misty with shallow fog in some parts of the capital, but the afternoon could be pleasant with clear skies.

The maximum temperature yesterday was 21.7 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal.
