At least 11 people have died this week as temperatures have fallen to near freezing in parts of this Himalayan country, news reports said on Wednesday.
The Nepal FM radio station quoted local officials as saying that two people died on Wednesday in the Bara area, about 160 kilometres southeast of the capital Kathmandu.
According to the Kathmandu Post newspaper, at least nine people have died in other parts of southern Nepal this week.
Local officials could not be immediately reached for comment.
All international and domestic flights across the country were cancelled on Wednesday morning due to fog across Nepal including the capital, where the only international airport is located, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said in a statement.
Low winter visibility in mountainous areas frequently makes it difficult to fly and flights are routinely delayed or canceled during the season.
