Indian boxers' phenomenal haul of six gold medals in the Commonwealth Championships helped them get a team and kit sponsor in Monnet Steel group.

Olympic hero Vijender Singh (75kg), Asian champion Suranjoy Singh (52kg), Jai Bhagwan (60kg), Olympian Dinesh Kumar (81kg), Paramjeet Samota (+91kg) and Amandeep Singh (49kg) - the gold winners today - were presented with the Hero Honds Hunk bikes by group's chairman Pawan Munjal.

Percept, the promoter of the event, has signed five boxers- Vijender Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Suranjoy Singh, Jai Bhagwan and Balwinder Beniwal - as their exclusive talents for the period of three years.

According to the Joint Managing Director of Percept, Shailendra Singh, steel company Monnet will be the official team and kit sponsor of the Indian squad for three years.

"I am extremely delighted to be associated with these pugilists and will try my best to make them a brand and a force to reckon with in India. Our aim will be transforming these pugilists as brands," Shailendra told mediapersons last night.

Percept also awarded each boxer Rs 25,000 and a Siyaram's suit.
