A local court has registered a complaint against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati and 18 others over a petition filed by a magician who charged them with not discharging official duties with regard to his grievance on alleged encroachment of his property.

The court yesterday registered complaint also against special secretary to Governor Haricharan, former principal secretary (Home) Satish Kumar Agrawal, senior BSP leader Krishna Kumar Pandey and a few police officers in the ranks of deputy SP, Inspector and sub inspector.

Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gyan Prakash, registered the complaint filed by Mohammad Ali alias Ali Baba, a local magician and the owner of magic show company – Himiya International, and transferred the case to additional chief judicial magistrate.

The court directed Ali to get his statement recorded under section 200 of IPC on October 31 before the court of additional CJM.

Ali (56), charged his relatives and others with encroaching and capturing his family property under the patronage of BSP leader Pandey and local police men.

Ali in his complaint contended that chief minister, special secretary to governor and others failed to discharge their duties as public servants and people representatives by neglecting his repeated requests and complaints through post on the land dispute.
