CHIEF MINISTER Mulayam Singh Yadav assured the people that the condition of Bundelkhand region would be improved considerably after the rainy season.
Addressing a public meeting here at Ginnaut Bagh on Tuesday, Yadav said that whenever his government was formed in the State, several development schemes had been implemented, besides increasing the budgetary allocation for the development of the region.
On the occasion, the CM laid the foundation stone and dedicated to people 116 projects worth Rs 50.40 crore. He also directed to the district magistrate for proper maintenance of roads, cleanliness, developing infrastructure facilities, besides beautifying Lalitpur.
Yadav also distributed the cheques to 805 girls under the Kanya Vidyadhan Yojna and unemployment allowance to 1,387 youths besides Rs 5 lakh to 600 beneficiaries of old-age pension and Rs 36,000 to 40 widows as pension.
Hs said UP had become a model for other states and states like Andhra Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Tamil Nadu etc had asked about the unemployment allowance scheme. He appealed that youths should struggle for getting unemployment allowance in other States.
He himself would visit the length and breadth of the country on this issue and create awareness among people.
He alleged that the Centre had not cooperated with the State Government and it was creating hurdles in the development works and schemes launched by the State Government.
