Accusing the RSS of killing former Sangh pracharak Sunil Joshi - alleged to be the mastermind behind the 2007 Ajmer dargah blast, to destroy proof, Congress on Tuesday demanded a CBI probe into the killing.

"When Joshi's name cropped up in Ajmer blast, the Sangh parivar people killed him to destroy the proof...We demand a CBI probe into his killing," Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesman KK Mishra told a press conference in Indore.

Joshi was shot dead in December 2007 in Dewas.

Mishra alleged that police have closed the investigation into the case after they failed to arrest the killers.

"Why the police were in a hurry to close the file in the case and under whose pressure this was done?" he asked.

The Congress leader justified the usage of word "saffron terrorism", saying that alleged links of RSS in different acts of terror have come into light.
