TNCC president K V Thankgabalu, MP, and three other Congress leaders on Thursday received a letter threatening their lives for the party's stand on the Sri Lankan issue.

The letter warned to eliminate one of the four leaders -- Thangkabalu, Union Minister of state for Textiles EVKS Elangovan, SK Karvendan, MP, and C Gnanasekaran MLA, if there was no ceasefire in Sri Lanka, a TNCC release said in Chennai.

The anonymous letter was received at Karvendan's residence at Tharapuram near Erode, the release said, adding a police complaint has been filed in the matter.
