Congress MLA from Dhoraji, Vitthal Radadiya, who won the Lok Sabha election from Gujarat's Porbander constituency, on Wednesday submitted his resignation from the state Assembly.
Radadiya, who contested from Porbander had won the election by a margin of over 39,000 votes from his nearest rival Mansukh Khachariya of the BJP.
Radadiya submitted his resignation to Assembly Speaker Ashok Bhatt.
Bhatt told reporters that he has accepted Radadiya's resignation.
Last week, BJP MLA Dinu Solanki who won Lok Sabha seat from Junagadh had also resigned from the state Assembly. Solanki won by a margin of over 13,000 votes against sitting Congress MP Jasu Barad.
