Choubey, however, said he would discuss this with the party high command and thereafter the final decision would be taken.

"Congress MLAs today passed a resolution condemning the state government for not providing adequate security to the rally that led to death of our senior leaders," he said.

"Because of it's (government's) lapses, our senior leaders sacrificed their lives," Choubey said, after chairing the meeting of Congress MLAs at his residence this evening.

He also accused the BJP government of not providing adequate security to the Congress MLAs, particularly those from the Naxal-affected areas.

Twenty-eight people, including Congress leader Mahendra Karma, state Congress chief Nand Kumar Patel, his son Dinesh and former MLA Uday Mudliyar were killed in the Naxal attack in Jiram valley of Chhattisgarh's Bastar district on May 25.
