To register his protest against the non- availability of collector Aakash Tripathi at the weekly public hearing at the collectorate, Congress leader Jitu Patwari sat down along with the other officials and started hearing problems!

The incident took place at around noon.

Patwari came to the hearing along with some of his supporters. When he did not see the collector, he had a brief exchange with the officials present and sat down and started listening to the complaints of the people. And many of those who had come to hearing, handed over the applications to Patwari! He sat there for nearly 15 to 20 minutes before leaving. The other officials present look confused, not knowing what they should do, while Patwari continued hearing the complaints.

Later, Patwari said that the people come to the hearing to meet the collector and get his signature in their application, but if the collector is not present then the purpose of the people who come to the hearing is defeated. He said that he had come to discuss the problems of the people of Bhavna Nagar who have been demanding a drainage line for the last two years, but nothing has been done so far.
