After finalising the candidates' list and release of the election manifesto in Sikkim, Congress will hit the campaign trail across the state on Wednesday.

According to the campaign schedule devised for the forthcoming assembly polls, a total of 11 constituency level meetings will be held in the next two weeks, besides three state level election meetings, party state president Nar Bahadur Bhandari said.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the party general secretary Rahul Gandhi are likely to visit the state later this month to campaign for the party candidates, he said.

As per a tentative schedule, Rahul Gandhi will address an election meeting at South Sikkim's district headquarter Namchi on April 19, while the Congress President will address a public meeting at Gangtok on April 26 next, Bhandari added.
