A Congress leader was killed on Friday by unidentified persons at Tisri village in Jharkhand's Giridih district.
The police said the attackers had slit 60-year-old Jagannath Ravidas's throat when he had gone out early this morning.
Ravidas, a delegate of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, died on the spot.
Superintendent of Police Murarilal Meena said the killers have been identified and will soon be arrested.
Though the motive behind the murder could not be ascertained but personal enmity might have caused the killing, Meena said.
