Congress office here bore a deserted look on Friday after the declaration of the results as party lost all the three seats it contested in Jammu and Kashmir.
Anticipating defeat, a few Congress workers, who had gathered outside the office in the morning, started dispensing as the picture became clear, leaving behind few security guards manning the Congress headquarters at Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu.
The party has lost all the three seats in the state including, Jammu-Poonch, Udhampur-Doda and Ladakh parliamentary seat. Congress stalwart former chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and twice sitting MP Madan Lal Sharma also lost the battle.
The National Conference-Congress coalition has lost all the six seats, including the three seats the NC contested from the Valley.
