Congress slams firing in the air

THE CONGRESS on Thursday criticised the firing in the air by BJP and BJYM workers here on Wednesday to salute the newly appointed State BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar on his arrival at the railway station.

Meanwhile, in Bhopal the Congress submitted a memorandum to Governor Dr Balram Jakhar seeking a probe in the role of Gwalior Collector and the SP during welcome of the State BJP president Narendra Singh To-mar with gunshots by his supporters on Wednesday. 

A Congress delegation also called on DGP A R Pawar and demanded that the lic-enced guns of those who shot in the air during the Tomar’s welcome should be seized.   

CM cautions workers
CHIEF MINISTER Shivraj Singh Chouhan has cautioned the party workers against over-enthusiasm in welcoming their leaders. The CM said this when his comments were sought by journalists at the State BJP office this evening on large-scale firing in the air in Gwalior by supporters of the Narendra Singh Tomar to welcome him yesterday.
