The Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson and main aspirant for party ticket from Sirsa segment, Hoshiyari Lal Sharma on Wednesday said the Congress will form government for the third consecutive time in the state and will shut the mouth of opposition.

Talking to people at Ding village during a meeting, Sharma said the Congress has carried out development in the state while other parties had only promoted corruption, gundaism and dynasty politics.

Lashing out at the opposition parties, Sharma said the BJP has lost public support, there is stampede in the INLD and the HJC is fighting for its survival.

He said the BJP is claiming to get clear mandate in the upcoming assembly polls, but everyone knows that to form government you have to have party workers and activists and BJP does not have the strength of workers. "The BJP even does not have its own candidates. It's giving ticket to the defectors of other parties, who have vested interests and are hungry for power."

Sharma added, in the last nine years of the Congress rule, every single community has got benefits. The Congress has taken steps to develop people's social, economic and education status.

The Hooda government has increased the rate of sugarcane by Rs 9 to Rs 10 per quintal that will prove beneficial for farmers, Sharma added.

He said with the efforts of the Hooda government, today the status of the state farmers is better than any other state.
