Constable held for attacking inspector

A police constable has been arrested on the charges of beating up his superior at Commando Complex at Newal near here on Sunday.

Station house officer (SHO) Wazir Singh at the Kunjpura police station said that inspector Ramesh Singh alleged that he was attacked by constable Dalip Kumar, who was in inebriated condition in the complex on Friday night.

The SHO said that the accused was under suspension over some issue and attacked his superior.
Kumar was booked under sections 323 (for voluntary causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The accused was produced in the court of a duty magistrate on Sunday and sent to the judicial remand.
