In an early morning accident, a 40-year-old exporter was killed and his brother injured when a container truck loaded with automotive batteries fell on their moving Honda City car on Friday.

The brothers, residents of Lajpat Nagar in Delhi, were on their way to Jaipur for some business purpose around 6:30 a.m. when the accident occurred.

Near Shikohpur Crossing on National Highway No 8, the truck hit the road median from the right side after losing

Kumar said Subhodh Kumar, who was driving the car, died on the spot while his brother Pramod Kumar escaped with only mild injuries.

After the accident, the truck driver fled but abandoned the vehicle.
