Amitabh Bachchan has found his voice again — and how! After playing the Grand Old Gent of Bollywood for more than a few years, the B Chord seems to be relishing in airing his views, so what if everyone’s wondering why he has to be trashing it out with Shah Rukh Khan on a blog or playing Uncle-ji with Rahul Gandhi while radiating a smile towards his bestest of friends, Amar Singh. An eventful week found Bachchan talking away like a Kader Khan dialogue going off the rails. We look at his diary entries (which will probably be posted on bigb.bigadda.com even before this has gone to print):

Saturday, May 10: Oh this blog thing is the best thing I’ve done since I was on the sets of Silsila! Yesterday I sent an e-mail to that Ramadoss chap. I told him that I’ve played the role of a drunkard many times and I’ve only had water or soda with colour added on the sets.

Sunday, May 11: Oh, this blog thing is so powerful! I’ve got responses from all over, including one from somebody called ‘Six Pack’. Six Pack’s comments are: ‘You’re a has-been who’s trying to hold on to the centrestage. What was your last big hit? And please, don’t say KBC.” Jaya! Can you come here please! O you think this is Rahul Gandhi? Oh, you’re right, he doesn’t have a six-pack. Can you please fix me a water or soda with colour added?

Monday, May 12: To show my thankfulness to Rahul Gandhi for not writing that nasty comment yesterday on my blog, I’ve told the media that I wish him the best with his future ventures. I asked Amar whether I should say nice things about Sonia-ji also. “Don’t push it,” he rightly said over the phone.

Tuesday, May 13: Hah, hah! [Gabbar Singh laugh from Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag.] I’ve shown that twerp Shah Rukh that I’m better, more popular and taller than him. It was Aishwarya who pointed out that ‘Six Pack’ has to be him! Hah, hah, hah! [Big B laugh from KBC].

Wednesday, May 14: Now I’ve got the hang of YouTube! Today I uploaded me farming in UP. I have two versions: one with me on a tractor; the other with me ploughing.

Thursday, May 16: The blog is full of comments about me taking on Shah Rukh to milk publicity for film Bhoothnath in which both of us are acting. Hmm, that’s not a bad idea actually.

Friday, May 17: Shah Rukh’s started a blog in which he calls me the Big Bee in the Bonnet. Heh, heh [Asrani laugh], he must be doing it also for the publicity of Bhoothnath. In the meantime, I’ll speak to Rahul over the phone. “Hello Rahul, this is Amitabh Bachchan. Your loyal uncle, Arjun Singh is in the studio here and he needs a helpline. Hello, oh sorry...sorry, Sonia-ji, kaisey hain?
