A Chhattisgarh Police head constable shot himself dead with an AK-47 rifle in a moving bus here on Friday.
The bullet passed through the policeman and injured two passengers.
Om Prakash was posted at Chhattisgarh Bhawan in Delhi.
The shooting occurred around 11am in a Madhya Pradesh Roadways bus to Gwalior. Prakash reportedly boarded the bus from near Badarpur. He stood because all seats were occupied.
According to eyewitnesses, Prakash whipped out the rifle from his bag and shot himself in the chest. As passengers recoiled in horror, the driver sped on and stopped the bus before a police post near Old Faridabad.
The injured were identified as Arvind Sharma and Ram Badan Sharma of Madanpur Khadar area in south Delhi.
