Cops learning to combat stress

A THREE-DAY workshop to reduce physical and mental stress of traffic constables was inaugurated by IG Indore Zone Shailendra Shrivastava at the Vaishnav Management Institute auditorium.

A THREE-DAY workshop to reduce physical and mental stress of traffic constables was inaugurated by IG Indore Zone Shailendra Shrivastava at the Vaishnav Management Institute auditorium.

Traffic DSP David said that constables and head constables would be given training in two batches of 35 each. The training would start at 7.30 am and end at noon.

Among the speakers would be Major General (retired) Dr J R Bhati, Dr P Khare and Dr D Shrivastava. Inspector Nisha Reddy will inform the trainees about traffic signals while TI Hemendra Gaur will speak on provisions of Motor Vehicle Act. Dr D K Taneja will inform the trainees on what they were supposed to do during accidents, since the steps taken by policemen who are among the first to arrive at the accident site are crucial.

Among others, SP Adarsh Katiyar, Vaishnav Trust member Babulal Patodi, Babulal Baheti and Purshottam Pasari were present.
