A sessions court in Mumbai on Tuesday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Prakash Jaju, former secretary of actor Priyanka Chopra, who is fearing arrest in a complaint filed by the actor's father with police that the former was threatening them over a dispute over his fees.

Jaju had sought anticipatory bail last week.

The judge AC Vaidya observed that prima facie it appeared that Jaju had sent threatening messages and made telephone calls to the actor and her father.

The judge agreed with prosecutor Dilip Shah that Jaju's custodial interrogation was necessary to dig out information in this regard.
