Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy Lok Sabha MP on Sunday appealed the Election Commission of India not to give any permission to Union Home Ministry which propose to appoint a new committee to screen the applications of Telangana Freedom Fighters (TFF).
In a complaint to EC on Sunday, Reddy said the Union Government has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Konda Lakhsman Bapuji with the members of difrferent political parties for screening of applications of TFF last year.
Though, the chairman of the committee has resigned recently while the committee is still in existence without the chairman, Reddy argued and complained that the government is trying to appoint a fresh committee with members of ruling party only and seeking commission’s special permission as the election code has come into force.
Under these circumstances, Reddy appealed the EC to reject the appointment of new proposed committee.
