Even as actor Daniel Craig is making his debut as the new James Bond, former 007 Pierce Brosnan admits that he was extremely disappointed that he didn't get a chance to don the famous tux one last time.
Brosnan, who took on the mantle of the suave British super agent in four Bond flicks, admitted that he had been looking forward to making Casino
Royale, for author Ian Fleming laid the "blueprint" for the character in that novel.
"I always wanted to go back, because it's the blueprint of Bond's character," Moviehole.net quoted him, as saying.
The actor revealed that he had been "disappointed" when bosses chose Craig over him, but it was a decision that he has learnt to live with.
"It's the one where Fleming really painted in the details of what Bond was about, so I was disappointed that it didn't happen but, you can't go around with that in your heart. It's all such a game really, and you win some, you lose some, you're there, you're not there," he said.
