The new menu at Smoke House Grill, which we were invited to review, is aptly titled ‘An Introduction to Contradiction’ — each dish is a fusion of surprising flavours or textures. The experiment succeeds for the most part.
The Beetroot Ravioli uses beetroot instead of pasta as a wrapper, and the Bloody Mary Ceviche features a sorbet made with ingredients of the namesake cocktail. The chocolate dessert is a delicate balance of bitter chocolate and flavourful olive oil. But the Onion Consomme with whole egg yolk and parmesan rind does not impress. At Smoke House Grill, Masjid Moth, GK-II; Cost for two: Rs 2,500.
