Cultural bonanza marks end of Sahodaya events

SAHODAYA GROUP of CBSE Schools organised the second mega cultural bonanza at Campion School Auditorium on Saturday. Chief guest Governor Balram Jakhar spoke on the National Curriculum framework and Vision: 2020 as propounded by President APJ Abdul Kalam.
The chief guest for the valedictory function and prize distribution ceremony IG Bhopal Range Sanjeev Kumar Singh congratulated the winners.
Twenty-five member schools participated in the group folk dance competition. The presentation of folk dances with ethereal music was a pleasure to watch. The beautiful costumes and perfect movement kept the audience spellbound.
Carmel Convent S S School, Ratanpur got the first prize in the folk dance competition. Second prize was bagged by Army Public School, Bairagarh and third prize was shared by Navnidh Hassomal Lakhani Public School and St Joseph’s Co-Ed School. Delhi Public School, St Paul S S Co-Ed School and Sharda Vidya Mandir received consolation prizes for folk dance competition.
Forty-one schools of CBSE Sahodaya Complex participated in the drawing and painting competition. The topics for the two groups —junior and Senior — were given on the spot.
The first prize of the drawing and painting competition for junior group was won by Samridh Lugun, Campion School. Saumy Kumar Jain, St Xavier’s S S Co-Ed School bagged the second bagged and third prize went to Sakshi Verma, Carmel Convent S S School, Ratanpur.
In the senior group Megha Nema of Carmel Convent S S School, BHEL Nairuti Sharma of Carmel Convent S S School, Ratanpur and Jheelu Bajaj of Delhi Public School won first, second and third prizes respectively. Principals from various schools, teachers and students were also present on the occasion. Sahodaya Complex secretary Kala Mohan proposed the vote of thanks.
