A bunch of youngsters — some in college, some graduated, and the eldest in the mid twenties -— who have come together to create a dance production. That’s The Yellow Brick Project for you. And Razzle Dazzzle, is their first production that is put together by a team of 70 young people including dancers, choreographers, musicians, along with production, technical and management teams.
Razzle Dazzle is a musical dance production with a simple storyline that integrates three fairytales — Cinderella, Snow White and Rumplestitltskin.
It is interpreted through dance forms like jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, krumping, latin jazz, rumba, broadway as well as fusion with classical Indian dance forms. The music is done by Clarence Gonsalves, the bassist for Them Clones.
Recognised for his immense creativity and musical talent, Gonsalves is one of the better musicians the city has. The choreography is in the hands of a group called Big Dance Centre.
Going by the rehearsals, the group seems like a talented bunch, and the production a lot of fun. Go watch!
