Day curfew was lifted on Tuesday in communal violence-hit Kishtwar and Poonch district of Jammu with situation gradually returning to normal.
Curfew has been relaxed between 0400 hours and 2200 hours in both districts though night curfew will continue till complete normalcy returns, district officials said.
"No untoward incident was reported from anywhere in the two districts during the last 24 hours," they said.
While curfew was clamped in Poonch 11 days ago, the ban orders were clamped in Kishtwar 22 days back to ensure law and order during the agitation launched by the Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangrash Samiti on the issue of land transfer to the shrine board.
Two persons had died and 30 others were injured while 36 buildings and 13 vehicles were burnt in communal clashes in Kishtwar town on August 12.
In Poonch, which too bore the brunt of communal violence, over 60 shops and houses were burnt and dozens of vehicles torched. Over 30 people were injured in clashes.
