STATE GOVERNMENT employees under the banner of State Laghu Vetan Karmachari Sangh rejoiced over their demand of merger dearness allowance (DA) with salary being accepted by the State Government on Wednesday.
Sangh district president Ravi Shankar Shukla said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has accepted their principle demand of amalgamating DA with salary and that of releasing payment on the new scale from the January 2007. He said that class-IV employees in all departments of the State Government would benefit from this decision.
He, however, reminded the government of its earlier promise of releasing the pending nine per cent DA and arrears soon. Employees from various government departments came out of their office buildings to celebrate the decision and distributed sweets and burst firecrackers to show their joy.
