Here's more on the French brandy.
1 Know your Cognac:
Between Scotch and Whiskey the difference lies in the origin, Scotland and Ireland, however whisky can be made anywhere. Whereas cognac comes only from the Cognac Region in France.
2 Always remember:
When you go purchasing a Cognac make sure that the retailer is well-known in the market as there are counterfeits available too.
3 Enjoy your Cognac:
The best way to enjoy Cognac is neat, on ice or in a mixed drink at 18°C, as well as pairing it with food.
4 Accompany it with:
It goes well with spicy food — Indian, Thai or Chinese cuisine.
5 Serve it in:
Its best to serve the drink in a cellar master glass. For mixed-drinks, a long drink glass is perfect, a tumbler glass for on-ice consumption, and if you'd like to taste it frozen, use a shooter glass.
6 Storing style:
If you re-cap your cognac bottle systematically after having opened it, there’s absolutely no problem till there’s not enough air in the bottle to produce oxidation.
