Araiya, the designer line of sisters Arshiya and Aaliya Fakih, made a bold statement with its Spring-Summer collection.
In a sharp deviation from the blacks and reds-laden collection the sisters showcased in the previous instance, this time, deeper (not darker) shades and tones of usually bright colours ruled the roost. No pastels, no pales; instead, deep blues and yellows, complemented by earthy browns and fiery gold made Araiya's style statement with great eloquence.
Following yesterday's trend, the styles were all western casual with flowy skirts - either knee-length or till mid-calf and form-fitting blouses. We give a high mark to Araiya for sheer wearability.
Jatin Varma, meanwhile, decided to use almost the entire Pantone range for his

collection beginning with shades of white, continuing with paler hues of pastels and ending with floral prints in bright colours.
All of these are favourably complemented with charmingly contrasting bags (hold-alls and bum-bags) in citric yellows and greens, Indian pinks, golds and deep blues.
The entire effect almost screams "fresh" and "cool", and appears quite appealing for spring/summer-wear.
Frocks, knee-length skirts and ghaghras, choli-cut blouses and floor-length evening gowns completed the collection. As with Araiya, Jatin's collection scores high on wearability.
