Delegation of Lawrence College of Pakistan meets chief minister

A 20 members delegation from Lawrence College, Ghora Ghali Muree Hills, Punjab, Pakistan led by its principal Air Commodore (retd.) Tarooq H Kayani called upon chief minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal at his official residence here on Thursday.

A 20 members delegation from Lawrence College Ghora Ghali Muree Hills, Punjab, Pakistan led by its principal Air Commodore (retd.) Tarooq H Kayani called upon chief minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal at his official residence here on Thursday.

Faculty members of the College along with faculty and students from the Lawrence School, Sanawar were accompaniment delegation from Pakistan.

Chief minister apprised them about the development that the state had made since its inception and also about the stages it passed through to the present situation and also on various other aspects.

They evinced keen interest in Himachal Pradesh and were fascinated with scenic beauty of the State.

The students have come to India to grace the Prize Distributions Ceremony of the Hodson Run on April 15, 2011 at Lawrence School Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh. Both the Schools in India and Pakistan were founded in pre independence era.

Chief minister also honoured the students and staff members of both the Schools with Himachali caps, shawls and scarfs, while Air Commodore Tarooq H Kayani, Pakistan presented a memento to the chief minister on the occasion.
