A Delhi-based businessman, who is alleged to have killed his wife over a domestic quarrel has been arrested in Delhi, police said on Thursday.

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police launched a manhunt and arrested Mohammed Nazran alias Ashish Malhotra on Wednesday night from the Kotwali area near Ajmer Gate in Delhi, they said.

The body of 26-year-old Latha, who had moved to Bangalore recently, was found with stab wounds in her apartment there last Saturday.

After the couple's six-year-old daughter told Bangalore Police that Nazran had murdered his wife a police team was dispatched to Delhi to nab him and had sought assistance from the Delhi Police, sources said.

Nazran and Latha were reportedly having strained relations which could have led to her murder, police said.

Nazran, who owns a motor parts business in Delhi had followed Latha to Bangalore after she reportedly left him following a quarrel, police said.
