The city finally seems to be getting its share of monsoon rain with many parts of the Capital witnessing more rainfall on Monday.
While Safdarjung saw only 1.3 mm of rainfall, Palam saw 9.4 mm of rain and Pusa saw 10 mm of rain.
According to the weatherman, the city can expect light rain and thundershowers on Tuesday as well. The temperature will be between a pleasant 33 and 27 degrees, though the humidity level is expected to be high.
On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded as 32.7 degrees, a degree below normal. The minimum was recorded as 26.7 degrees, normal for this time of the year. The humidity oscillated between 95% and 75%.
The city saw record-breaking rainfall on Saturday at 123.4 mm. It crippled the Capital, led to massive traffic jams across the city, water logging, road cave-ins and water entering people's houses. Monday's rainfall also resulted in a similar scenario.
"The weather has surely been wonderful since it rained on Saturday but water logging is proving to be a big problem. I would have liked to take my family for an outing to enjoy the weather but there is just too much traffic," said Manish Singh, a resident of Vasant Kunj.
