The proposed Delhi Master Plan 2021 appears to have run into trouble with politicians contending that it does not include suggestions offered by them during various meetings held with the DDA.
Acting Lieutenant Governor AR Kidwai on Wednesday met Delhi politicians including Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, with the elected representatives taking exception to the fact that their suggestions were not incorporated in the forthcoming master plan of Delhi.
After her meeting with Kidwai, Dikshit called an emergency meeting of the Cabinet on the issue and sources said a special Assembly session is likely to be convened in mid-January to discuss the master plan.
"Our suggestions to provide relief in Lal Dora areas, urbanised villages, gram sabha land, schools operating from residential areas find no mention in the amended master plan," Mishra told reporters here after meeting the Lt Governor.
