A constable with the Delhi Police was molested at a club in Sector 18 here and a person was arrested for making obscene calls to another woman cop.
The two incidents came to light hours after the district magistrate and senior superintendent of police on Wednesday had a briefing with local policemen about how to control crimes against women in the city.
Noida police have launched a drive against those who make lewd comments, send obscene text messages or try to molest women. However, a special cell set up two months ago to deal with complaints related to obscene calls has become defunct.
The Delhi Police constable, who lodged a molestation complaint with Sector 20 police station, said club owner Harish Kumar, manager Dinesh and bouncers misbehaved with her and tried to molest her inside a washroom of a bar club on Wednesday night when she went to attend a party there.
A case has been registered and some persons were detained for questioning, said Vijay Prakash, a police officer.
In a separate case, a man was arrested for making obscene comments to a policewoman who attended his call at the helpline number 100. Police arrested the caller from Sector 39 on Wednesday night.
Several women constables have complained about such calls in the recent past despite a drive has been launched by assistant superintendent of police Alankrita Singh in April.
