DELIMITATION COMMISSION will hold public hearing on the objections against proposed demarcation of Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Indore and Ujjain division at Anand Mohan Mathur Auditorium from February 17-20.
Although the official date for hearing is February 17 and 18, there could be minor shuffle owing to public hearing to be held at Bhopal from February 13-15.
According to the schedule received from New Delhi, Commission Chairman Justice Kuldip Singh, Chief Election Commissioner N Gopal Swamy, Deputy Election Commissioner M Sarangi, Election Commission Secretary S K Mendiratta will conduct public hearing of Ujjain division in the morning on February 17.
The post-lunch session has been reserved for Indore division. Since the objections sent from Indore division to the Commission are more in number, the hearing could extend to next day.
State Chief Electoral Officer J S Mathur and Additional Chief Electoral Officer K C Gupta, district collectors and divisional commissioners of Indore and Ujjain division will also be present at the public hearing.
There will be three hearings in Bhopal. Public objections from Gwalior and Chambal division will be received on February 13 and those from Sagar and Bhopal division will be taken on February 14. The next day has been reserved for Hoshangabad division.
