Australia's Casey Dellacqua and Scott Lipsky of the United States defeated defending champions Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia and Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic to win the French Open mixed doubles title on Thursday.

Their 7-6 (8/6), 4-6, 10-7 win prevented the top seeds from claiming a third title in Paris having also triumphed in 2006.

"I never thought I would win a Grand Slam title. It's really exciting," said 26-year-old Dellacqua, whose singles ranking has slumped to 317 in the world after being at a high of 39 in 2008.
