Terming the demolition of a temple of Lord Jagannath in Delhi as unfortunate, BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday asked the Delhi government to take corrective steps.

"It is unfortunate that Lord Jagannath's temple in Pushp Vihar area of Delhi has been demolished recently. It has hurt the religious sentiments of the people, particularly from Orissa," Gadkari told reporters winding up his two-day visit to Orissa.

The BJP chief's reaction came about a week after the Shiv Shakti Jagannath temple was demolished in the national capital.
