With frequent snarls affecting traffic movement in Jammu city, director general of police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar has directed deputy inspector general (DIG) to bringing improvement in the regulation of traffic.

"Kumar issued detailed instructions to DIG (traffic) Jammu (now IGP) about bringing improvement in the regulation of traffic (in Jammu)," a police release said.

These directions were passed to DIG at a high-level review meeting on law and order situation in Jammu.

He directed that more traffic personnel be deployed where traffic jams are frequent to avoid inconvenience being caused to general public.
