Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit has incidentally completed 25 years in the film world this year as she started her career with Abodh in 1984. But she tasted success only after Tezaab that made her popular as Ek Do Teen girl.
The success of Ram Lakhan, Parinda, Tridev and Kishen Kanhaiya followed soon after. Dil, Saajan, Beta, Khalnayak, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Raja further solidified her position in the industry. She became the undisputed queen of Bollywood.
When her career graph seemed to go down after flops like Koyla, Prem Granth, Yaraana, Mahanta and Mohabbat, she reaffirmed her position in Bollywood with Yash Chopra's Dil to Paagal Hai, which not only fared well at the box-office but also got her Filmfare award for the best actress. She got critical acclaim for her role in Prakash Jha's Mrityudand.
In 1999, she married Sriram Madhav Nene, an Indian doctor who resides in USA. She is blessed with two sons, Arin and Raayan.
Madhuri dazzled again as Chandramukhi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdaas in 2002. Thereafter, she returned to silver screen with Aaja Nachle amidst huge expectations from her fans. But this time, the film didn't do too well.
