Remember Mahendra Singh Dhoni's famous gun salute after scoring a century against Sri Lanka last year? Now the cricketer has applied for the licence for the real thing.
"He (Dhoni) has submitted an application for a licence for a gun, and we have forwarded it to the deputy commissioner's office," Senior Superintendent of Police R K Mullick.
However, Dhoni has to wait a while before his application is cleared by the administration. The deputy commissioner's office has reportedly sought a couple of more important documents from the cricketer before deciding on the application.
Dhoni's unique way of celebration became a instant hit with fans and the Jharkhand boy had remarked that he did the gun salute as he promised one of his friends to celebrate in that manner if he scores a ton.
