Senior BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal lashed out at the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for its inept handling of situation and security failure in Bihar.
He said when the intelligence agencies had already informed the government about the activities of terrorists to create problems in Bodh Gaya, why did the government failed to take proper steps to maintain law and order there and to stop the activities of militants there.
Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, Dhumal said the central government had turned a blind eye towards the growing activities of terrorists and anti-social elements. He said the policy of appeasement towards minorities and those trying to harm the cause of the nation would not help the Congress to win the 2014 general elections.
He demanded that strict steps should be taken to maintain security around religious places so that terrorists might not cause further harm to the religious bonds of people.
Talking about the statement of Congress leader Digvijay Singh in which he blamed senior BJP leader Narendra Modi for all ills, the nation was facing, he said Singh was afraid of Modi that was why he was blaming Modi.
Dhumal came down heavily on chief minister Virbhadra Singh for reopening the transfer pandora by making a new transfer policy for the state government employees. He said the government was so afraid of the decisions of the HP high court regarding the transfers of the state government employees that it had decided to restart the tribunal for the state government employees.
He said the new transfer policy would prove to be a new transfer business on part of Congress leaders.
